Avant-rock band SUUNS have dropped a fantastic new single in the form of ‘The Breaks’. The track is a downtempo, lo-fi exploration into the world of dream-pop. Crunchy drums sit in the distance, quietly side-chaining the nostalgic synths that provide a bed for Ben Shemie’s electronically manipulated vocal. It might be their most emotive song to date. SUUNS’ new album, The Breaks, is out on September 6th, 2024, via Joyful Noise Recordings. They explain that it “became sort of the opposite of our last record. Nothing was really played together. We were caught in a little bit of a wormhole, trying new things, throwing different things against the wall.” -Dan Peeke
